Have you played your best game ever?

Just over this week, other than Jim Carrey, i have watched a good movie, on Pearl, at midnight, The Greatest Game ever Played.I wonder if this movie "ever played" in Hong Kong. It was in 2005 and I supposed Shia LaBeouf still was nobody at that time, yet he gave a spectacular performance.

When I first look at the poster, I wonder if i was watching Dead Poets Society.

Not to mention about the theme of movie, which is something really Amercian cliche, a nobody from nowhere DARE to break the rules and becoming an HERO...sound familiar enough?

Francis Ouimet in 1913

Francis in the middle, Ted Ray , the other pofessional golfer (left) from UK teamed up with Harry Varton (right)

10-years-old caddie boy Eddie standing on the front

The movie is about Golf. Maybe golf may not familiar to most of the people or it seems that a kind of priviledged sports bound to certain kind of people, there are not many movies about golf. Thanks to Tiger Wood who have showed us an example of illustrating the American spirit, before his numerous scandals of extra-marital affairs. If you work hard enough, talented enough, you can become somebody, no matter where do you come from, what your race is...that sort of stuff.

Other than exquisite performance of Shia LeBeouf, I like the little caddie played by Josh Flitter. The character is small in person, but possess a really BIG attitude and in his manner of speaking! "What a little guy! " You may think after he says something. I admire his ambious, persistence and aggressiveness, as if a future entrepreneur in a small person.

There is one quote from movie I love most,British golf legend Harry Varton is being pushed to win the US Open by the arrogant British government officer, he says,

"Harry Vardon: [to Lord Northcliff] Let me tell you something. I came here to win a trophy. And on the face of it Ted Ray or I should carry it off. Not for you, not for England, but for sheer bloody pride at being the best, *that's* why we do this. And if Mr. Ouimet wins tomorrow, it's because he's the best, because of who he is. Not who his father was, not how much money he's got, because of who he bloody is! And I'll thank you to remember that. And I'll thank you to show the respect a gentleman gives as a matter of course"

Alice in Wonderland

How many of you have watched this movie? I have been waiting for this since last year. The makeup and look is really amazing. I just can't look other things when the poster of the movie standing in front of me.

I fall in love with the dresses that Alice wear in the movie immediately. The baby blue blouse dress for the engagement party, the off-shoulder-nightgown dress in the wonderland, the coat where she stands on the ship heading to China...

All these 3 are the same dresses. I love the sleeves and the way they treated her hair. Small curls but not like being exploded.

I particularly love this dress with off shoulders and a string tied around the neck, it makes her look so sexy. The airy-like ruffles helps to put a little bit "fairy" elements into the look. So she looks less hot but still attractive.

This is the least girly look since she supposed heading to China for business, that's why she's in a military coat but still in blue. Yet the details underneath the coat reveals effort of the stylist, look at the ruffles of her shirt, the cuff and her shoes. It's liked a young kid going for adventures!

Blue, light and sheer are the characteristics of her dresses throughout the movie. There is a word descrbing this kind of look,"ethereal". It makes me think of spring, rosy blossoms and fresh air. I love it.

I couldn't get her out of my mind when I was watching movie, do you think she resembles Gwyneth Paltrow?

The Proposal

dear my friends,

Watched "the Proposal" last night. Not bad, Bullock stays as funny as she is, such as the joke she made about her boobs, I think only American, especially American women can make jokes like this. But I like her more in Miss Congeniality, she was more funny and approachable in that character. In this movie, impress me most is the house in Alaska which is really big and with great view. Much better than the city-view.

The cold and insentimental woman boss Sandra protrayed in the movie reminds me a lot my colleagues here :P. The so-called "matter-of-fact" attitude of her character really turns me off. Other than that Bher sky high heels and skintight pencil skirt has nothing resemble them in real life! Sandra is lot more sexier than the working women in real life.

**********

I apologise for not updating here very often because of my tight working hours since last week. Moreover, due to my wrecked home PC, I hardly sit in front of it more than 5 minutes. However, I would keep updating here as much as often as I could.

First of all, I would like to share this article with you which is about personal growth. I am sort of subscriber of Gabriella Kortsch, Ph.D, who has a website called advancedpersonaltherapy.com

OK, let me cut the crap and start reading at below.

Talk to u soon.

The man who stare at the goat

Jedi, we don't fight with the guns, we fight with the mind!" baga!‚Ä‚Ö(correct me if I listen it wrong) That's stupid!

too many to mention

I always love 50's.

And I like movies about LIFE.

I am not sure if it's one of them, but it looks interesting...

Teenager was the BEST moments in my life. There were too many dreams, too little time to achieve. Skateboarding was one of them. I am too old to learn skateboarding now, Watching ths movie gives me a lot of energy and reminds me old happy days in secondary school.

official website

"I feel old, but not very wise" How many of you ever thought of that?

I am not premature kinds, oppsite instead. I never fond of any old men, or men older than me. Sometimes I wonder if it would be more "beneficial" if going out with men older than me, they might teach me anything or I could learn from their lives in the mode of "fast-forward". Unfortunately only a small number of them mature in mind, not only age, and I am not "lucky" ones gain their fondness.

It seems that only more regrets when you grow older and faster...I don't want to be one of them.

OH!!! My favourite actors and actress appeared in the same movie!!!

The first half is liked Cecilia Cheung's 忘不了, when i thought it's too boring for anything...a twist with the story and turns out to be something totally different than I thought...

Not sure if it will be shown in Hong Kong cinemas, though.

OK! Save the best for last!!

係咪我OUT左‚ª‚Á‚‚è

音樂﹕Savage Garden嘅Truly, Madly, Deeply

gosh~~He's hot!!!
